Alternate Price Projection

Alternate Price Projection   (APP) Compares the price range of swings in the same direction. The most frequently used percentage alternate price projections are 62 percent, 100 percent, and 162 percent. The principle is that the price range of a section is often one of the key APP ratios of recent sections.

An APP is made from three pivot points. The price range between two pivots is measured and projected from a third pivot.

Additional comments:

Sometimes called price extensions by other authors and in some software programs.
