Vancouver - A British Columbia Securities Commission panel

has used recent legislative amendments for the first time

to fine Ian Gregory Thow, a former mutual fund salesperson

with Berkshire Investment Group Inc., $6 million. The panel

also banned Thow permanently from participating in the province's
