Thresher Industries have posted a press release about recent spam promoting the company's stock. In the release, the company's president states:

Thresher Industries has no knowledge of who has undertaken this campaign ... We have no reason to do this and apologize to individuals and companies affected by this. We have taken action to attempt to locate the individual or individuals responsible. We have had our stock shorted and now with this campaign believe there is some connection between these actions. ... [we] are attempting to find the source of this and will attempt to shut this down as quickly as possible."
